The Innovation Agency (Academic Health Science Network for the North West Coast)

For Attention of UK Labs Only

Support available to implement updated NICE Diagnostics Guidance DG40: High Sensitivity troponin tests for the early rule out of NSTEMI.

As the national (NHS England) working group leading the programme to boost the NICE-recommended use of high-sensitivity cardiac troponin tests, they are offering expert clinically-led support to sites who wish to implement a rapid rule out strategy including single sample rule out, in line with the new updated NICE recommendations. They have partnered with UK NEQAS Cardiac Markers scheme to help direct laboratories to this available support.
Their offer is to share new insights from existing Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) supported projects, and connectivity to a shared learning collaborative. A data collection tool is also available to help evaluate implementation. Although this is an NHS England innovation programme they would be happy to accept enquires from other countries within the UK.

Further details can be found in this link AHSN Letter.
